Wine making and ageing:

Our gently sloping fields are well exposed to the sun in a temperate climate where the selected grapes, strong in natural sugars, benefit from a soil rich in sediments, giving our wines the unique character and fruity aroma so characteristic of Rotnaros wines.
When harvested the grapes are pressed in our cellars beneath Castle Rotnaros. The fermentation is carried out in barrels of Tur wood from the estate. Ageing in Tur gives the wood nuances essential for the 5 principal wines of Rotnaros.
From the beginning we followed the road of consistency in our works. True to this we selected specific grape varieties that follow the identical genotype pattern for the main types of Appellation Wines we produce. Our wines are well balanced and reflect the characteristics of our soil and climate, the "Terroir" of Rotnaros.
